Q. Who/where is Campus Emporium?

A. Campus Emporium is an independent family-owned store offering officially licensed Virginia Tech clothing and gifts. We currently have two locations: 207 North Main Street, approximately one block from the VT campus, and 1337 South Main Street across from Kroger and the ABC store. We are not directly affiliated with Virginia Tech, though a portion of our sales goes to the school’s licensing department.

Q. Do you ship to APO or PO Boxes?

A. We ship to APO boxes via the US Postal System. All other orders require a physical address for UPS delivery. Please be aware orders sent via USPS may take longer to arrive and cannot be tracked, therefore Campus Emporium will be unable to provide information on the status of you order once it leaves the store.

Q. I need my order FAST! When should I place it to be sure I get it on time?

A. To help expedite your order, please be sure you have entered a current and valid shipping address, phone number, and email. Also be sure you have entered the current and valid billing address for your credit card. Any errors can delay your order. You will be called and/or emailed in the event of such an issue or in the event of any stock issues.
If placed before 3:30PM EST Monday-Friday, Next Day Air orders are guaranteed to arrive the following business day and 2nd Day air orders are guaranteed to arrive within 2 business days. Ground orders are guaranteed within 7 business days. A business day is Monday through Friday, not counting certain holidays.
Online orders can be picked up in our Downtown store (207 North Main)-- and it's free! Simply select In-Store Pickup as your shipping option during checkout. Orders received before 3:30pm EST Monday-Friday will be ready for pickup the next day. Orders placed after 3:30pm EST Friday will be ready after Monday afternoon. You will receive an email when your order is ready. Please call for rush or weekend pickup requests. You will be called and/or emailed in the event of issues with your order and your order may be held until we hear back from you, so it is important to provide a current phone number or email address. All in-store pickup orders are eligible for VA state sales tax and will be adjusted accordingly.


Q. Why is shipping so expensive?

A. Campus Emporium ships all domestic packages through UPS. With UPS we can offer more shipping options, more precise delivery time estimates, and detailed order tracking. Campus Emporium utilizes flat-rate shipping for all Internet and phone orders. With the costs of shipping, fuel, packing materials, and labor we feel our shipping rates are fair and competitive and we are always working hard to find solutions to keep shipping costs low. Q. How do I return an item I ordered online or by phone?

A. If an item doesn’t fit or you simply change your mind, just do one of the following:
1. If you will be in the Blacksburg area, simply bring it by our Downtown location with your order paperwork and we’ll take care of you. As with all returns the items must be unused and in sellable condition.

2. Enclose the item in a box or envelope and include your return form (included in online orders) and/or a note explaining what you’d like us to do and ship to:

We STRONGLY recommend you ship via UPS, FedEx or insured USPS so your item(s) can be tracked. You are responsible for the cost of shipping your item(s) to Campus Emporium. Upon receipt of your item(s) we will issue you a refund.

Q. How do I exchange an item I ordered online or by phone?

A. If you would like to exchange an item for something else, please do one of the following:

1. If you will be in the Blacksburg area, simply bring it by our Downtown location with your order paperwork and we’ll take care of you. As with all returns the items must be unused and in sellable condition.

We STRONGLY recommend you ship via UPS, FedEx or insured USPS so your item(s) can be tracked. You are responsible for the cost of shipping to Campus Emporium AS WELL AS the cost of shipping your new item back to you. You may enclose a check for $8.50 payable to Campus Emporium to cover return shipping, or you can authorize us to charge your card on file. However, if you choose to add another item to your order (in addition to the replacement item) return shipping is FREE! Upon receipt of your items we will issue you a refund for the item(s) and charge you for the new item and applicable shipping (if you did not enclose a check).

Q. My order is wrong/damaged! What do I do?

A. Campus Emporium works hard to ensure your order is filled and packed carefully, but mistakes can happen. If we have made an error, please call 866-488-9327 so we can correct it as quickly as possible.

Q. I’m trying to place an order online and the site will not let me enter my state. What’s wrong?

A. Our site requires that JavaScript be enabled in your web browser. If not you will encounter this error during the checkout process. Most people encountering this problem are attempting to order from work and their employer has chosen this setting for their computers. If this is the case, we recommend ordering from home and NOT attempting to alter these settings on your employer’s computer. If you are encountering this issue at home, please refer to your browser’s Help menu to change your settings to allow JavaScript to run. If you still have trouble, please call 886-488-9327 to place a phone order.

Q. If an item is out of stock in your store, can I order it online (or vice versa)?

A. All of Campus Emporium’s merchandise is kept at our Main Street location. We have no separate warehouse for Internet orders, therefore if an item is out of stock in the store it is generally out of stock online as well. If you are interested in an item that is out of stock online, we recommend you call the store. We may just have one or two available for you!

Q. I ordered an item online but received a call/email because it was out of stock. Why?

A. We do our best to ensure items are made unavailable online as soon as we run out. However we are not currently operating on a real-time inventory system so some items may remain online after we run out, especially if we experience a high-traffic period in the store. Please bear with us and know that you will be contacted quickly if this happens. You will be able to substitute another item or cancel the item from your order.

Q. Do you take Hokie Passport?

A. Campus Emporium does not currently accept Hokie Passport. We gladly accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Campus Emporium Gift Cards (in store only), and Campus Emporium Online Gift Certificates (online only).

HOLIDAY FAQ

Q. If I am sending a gift to someone can they return/exchange it?

A. Of course! They would simply need to follow the normal instructions for returns and exchanges above.

Q. What is your holiday shipping schedule?

A. There is no holiday schedule at this time.

Q. What if an item I order is out of stock?

A. We do our best to ensure our online catalog is current, but in busier times items may sell out in the store before we can remove them from the site. If an item you ordered is out of stock you will receive an email from Campus Emporium requesting you call us about your order. It is very important that you provide us with a working email that you check often AND that you call us back as quickly as possible. IF YOUR ORDER CONTAINS SEVERAL ITEMS we will email you about the out-of-stock item and ship the rest of the order. When we hear from you we will either cancel the out-of-stock item or send a replacement of your choice (no additional charge for shipping). We do this in an effort to get as much merchandise to you as quickly as possible. IF YOUR ORDER CONTAINS ONLY ONE ITEM and it is out of stock OR if it contains other very small items (like decals), we will hold your entire order until we hear from you. Please check your email and voice mail. The sooner you respond to our email or phone call, the sooner your order will ship!

Q. Do you offer gift certificates?

A. Yes! Campus Emporium offers two kinds of gift certificates:

1. IN-STORE GIFT CARD: Cards can be purchased in the store or by phone. In-Store Gift Cards can ONLY BE USED IN THE STORE or for phone orders. In-store Gift Cards CANNOT be used online. If you are sending a gift to someone in Blacksburg, this is the best choice for you.

2. ONLINE GIFT CERTIFICATE: Certificates can only be purchased online. Your recipient will receive an email with a special code that can be used as a Gift Certificate when they shop online. Online Gift Certificates CANNOT be used in our store and CANNOT be used for phone orders. If you are sending a gift to someone outside of Blacksburg, this is the best choice for you. Q. Do you gift wrap?

A. Campus Emporium currently does not offer gift wrapping services. However, you may enter a gift message for your recipient during the checkout process. Your gift message will be printed on the paperwork included in the order. If you enter a gift message we will enclose a gift receipt and ensure that all prices are removed from the items.
